The raw said "regular (kanji: role) wo toru made ni" or literally "I came here to take/seize the (regular cast) role".
"size the spotlight" feels like he's "sizing up" the opportunity to see if it's a big role or not.

After a quick consultation with my QC, it was a typo, it meant to say seize the spotlight , I'm just dumb lol. But they agree that regular/main role fits better so we'll change it to that shortly. Thanks for the error checking
