Nothing is infinite, therefore everything must come to an end at some point. We lead our lives thinking of all of the mundane goods we want, thinking they will make our lives better. We make rules and laws to bring a feeling of orderliness into the world and try to make everything and everyone fit into this apparent order. But that is pointless. Nothing can ever be perfect and our needs can never be quenched, so we're bound to be disappointed with the things we aquire. But even when we are fully aware of their imperfections, we still consume those goods in hopes of distracting ourselves from our lives, because we don't know what to do with ourselves. We all hope to reach somewhere, to find something, but we don't know how to achieve those goals or even what those goals are supposed to be. We go through our lives without a clear destination, just living because we have to. And when we get to the end, we realise we never reached that somewhere and never found that something. Perhaps they didn't even exist in first place, but at that point there is no going back, there are no re-dos. It is... the end of the line.

I'm really not a fan of this kind of philosophy on life, but I have to say this particular short manga does get through to me. Only thing we can do is to hope we can set a proper goal for ourselves, so that we can give a meaning to our lives. But, one part of life that is avoided here are the other people who enter it. Even if they can't set the destination for us, just having a companion during the aimless travel makes it that much better.
