I wish the author would have saved these excessive flashbacks for a prequel/spinoff instead of ignoring the cliffhanger the author left us with previously.

Yeah it would have certainly better if it was more a spin off than the actual season 2. But i guess it's just that important to make it into the season 2 to learn more about the imagine project and stuff. But it's also true i would rather to see what happen in the present time too... Like there's not that many chapters left so i wonder if they are going to fight Red Swan before the end of season 2 or not.
And since Terror vs Revival is out now and is a big jump in time...
