Nothing indicates this was the case. In fact, not much is known about his actual childhood. The only legit records we have of him are when he already started working as a civil official (hardly a position of nobility lol). However, he did have experience wielding a sword, indicating he was probably born in a warrior household, which probably means he wasn't raised poor like Liu Bei was
