Remember that 'Tales of' game where that alien girl would borrow each of her childhood friend's attacks, even copying the phrase they'd use for it? I always thought that was cute, because it shows affection. When you're socially learning, you tend to copy the people you are close to until you get a feel for how to interact with people on your own terms.


This chapter is way too endearing to be played off for jokes. Or maybe that's just my nostalgia talking. Either way, I feel like a character like that alien would be welcome in the cast. Maybe we'll see them again someday!

I wouldn't be surprised if the Alien girlfriend we'll end up getting (because I consider it to be confirmed at this point) heard of the Earth culture because of these little guys.

I still wonder if Yamame was lucky or if her "country girl" personality, which generally shows innocence, helped her solve all this ayy lmao mess without it becoming an Independence Day ripoff, even so, good chapter.

I think this chapter discard an "alien girlfriend" possibility that some guys were hoping in the comments. Urusei Yatsura and To Love Ru still have the crown.

Personally, I'm also hoping for a vtuber, so Himeka thinks she has a kindred spirit (another idol-type), but actually, this person really doesn't want their vtuber identity to be found out. Also, if she was introduced in such a way that Rentarou has the zap happen when seeing her vtuber avatar during a stream, becomes a big supporter in the chat that she becomes fond of, but Rentarou has a crisis about whether he should try to figure out who's the person behind the character or if that's an invasion of privacy, only for him to bump into her at, like, a collab cafe where she's there undercover, and they both have the zap then, and it takes the rest of the chapter for them to realize who each other are and realize they're both already in love, that'd make for a pretty good story. Also since Rentarou had the zap for the avatar AND the real girl, they realize the avatar is also part of the 100 girlfriends, so she's a 2-for-1 deal and has to switch between being in-character and not so that both can participate in the family. The jokes kinda write themselves from there.

The idea is intriguing, but it probably goes against story rules: the Zaps have always happened with Rentaro and the gf mutually looking in each other eyes; Ren has seen some gfs without getting th Zap, 'cause their eyes didn't technically meet (Mei with closed eyes, Meme with her bang, ecc.). Even considering person and avatar as 2 gf, during a video, or even a stream, the vtuber can't see Rentaro, so I don't see how the Zap could happen. (But this manga is... well, this manga, so who know XD)
Still, I'll add the vtubet.

I think we've been slowly prepared, bit by bit, to have an Alien girlfriend.

The author has tested many boundaries: mother, cousin, grandmother, with Tama being the most extravagant of them all.

First we start with other earth species (cat), so I'm thinking we'll get extraterrestrial.

I suspect some other deity will notice the mix-up of the old man and show up to rectify it, but will get Zing-ed instead.

The mistake happened when Rentarou was born, now he's just starting to meet his fated ones. He never meet Chiyo (his cousin) before the story starts exactly for this reason.
I could be wrong, but I don't think a girl can wear a gakuran, even if tomboy.
