Y'know, that's really true, but that's exactly why he's nerfed in this chapter. The only thing really at stake in these matches was his own pride, as he himself admits — so of course he can't summon up the mental and physical strength that outmatched a god a few chapters ago.

Poor poor man, he has no choice but to follow the vice principal since that’s his job. At the very least he’s getting paid, and she didn’t win so he doesn’t have to join her at the private beach… God only knows what she planned to do to him alone there…
Speaking of, I get the whole point in participating was the event itself and not the prize, but don’t the Hanazono’s own a private beach/island with their own beach house? I might be wrong, but I feel like I remember that happening at some point. Either way they have the money to just go there if they wanted, so a part of me feels bad for the other participants given that, who knows how many of them were there for the prize.
Granted a win’s a win, so they lost fair and square, no real complaints there. Guess it’s more pity than anything else on my part. Oh and hey, don’t events like these usually have second and third place prizes? I wonder if this one did, and what they were?
Oh and before I forget, that was totally a Darkness move at the end there. Always with the female knights and ero play with her, never expected our resident baby to pull a Darkness though, it does have its own charm to it however… kinda makes me want to tease her.
