At least she didn't immediately misjudge Carlisle and waited to hear more information. And I think the high priest is working more on his own assumptions of how the "corrupt" nobles he knew are supposed to act. He's definitely out of touch with who they've become now after being with Ashya.

This irritates me. Why start something that is supposed to end in the next chapter and not even do anything?It's so idiotic. One told her one thing, another told her another, and it was the latter she believed. End of intrigue....
