It's even a pain on desktop. Some of the smaller text is too small to read. Browser zoom only affects the reader and not the actual pages.

The first time we meet Titania and Oberon I couldn't get enough of them... nowadays just seeing one of them gives me hibbie jibbies, two incomprehensibly powerful beings, that aren't even at their prime, that would take even the littlest remark as some sort of slight or contract... and they are constantly provoking to get a reaction.

But... all things considered... at least the kids are healing.

Hard times are to come, and the root of many of their insecurities is yet to be brought out in full... but at least they are showing more of themselves.

I hate this reader... if it wasn't the fact that none of the other aggregators seem to be updating this series yet.

By the way could someone give me a little hand... what happened in chapter 97? I think I read but I can't remember, and the chapter isn't available anymore for free.

I know something happened with Stella and Ashen Eyes is there to protect her, but I can't remember what happened or any other detail.

Ashen Eyes’ part is mostly about how the faes’ world is getting restless by the big change happening. That includes the creature he protected Stella from.

Then the part where they took Philomela to get new prosthetic hand, and they met the other mage there. Forgot details of the talks though.

Other Mage tried to get Chise to become his apprentice. Chise doesn't say anything, Elias can tell she's thinking about it, but the others tell Other Mage to piss off and he does - but not before giving Philomela an ominous warning that Darkness will inevitably come for her again.

Now... a strange thing... when I read chapter 98, the part where the mage tries to recruit Chise was there in the beginning of the chapter.

Am I crazy, is this a case of deja vu and bad memory... or is this reader so shoddily made that things are mixed up?

The part with the mage happens at the last, and ends in a kind of cliffhanger. Repeating the cliffhanger in the beginning of next chapter is quite common.

There are more idle talks between the kids from when they arrive in the workshop until when the mage arrives.

Very unlikely. She is definitely not leaving her home and her and Elias’ makeshift family. The real build up is Elias’ losing confidence in his ability to care for Chisa. So all that matters is that he thinks she was considering it, as that’ll feed into his insecurities. This feeling of inadequacy seems to be what they’ll need to overcome together during this arc.

I don't think she was considering, like, Replacing Elias with What's-His-Face (though Elias will absolutely assume that's what it amounts to and have a lot of angst about it). I do think she was considering the idea of studying under him for a while. Think about the sequence of events leading up to meeting Mystery Mage. Chise, in that same chapter, was agonizing over all the things she maybe could have done differently or better in the showdown with Lizbeth. "Maybe I could've saved Philomela's fingers. Maybe I could've kept Lizbeth alive and learned more about why she had Lucy's family killed," etc. Then the mage shows up and (inadvertently (probably)) rubs one of those perceived failures in Chise's face when he points out the remaining curse on Philomela's hands and feet will soon consume the rest of her limbs. Chise is visibly horrified. Then Mystery Mage fixes the problem Chise had just been agonizing over on the spot.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure Chise is at least kind of interested in learning how to do that kind of thing. Again, not in a way that truly undermines her connection to Elias, but not nothing either.

Much needed heart to heart moment between Rian and Philomela. I love to see the cousins rekindling their relationship, now that the darkness that held Philomela down is gone and she's finally free to be herself. Hoping the Scrimgeour family treats her well

Oh man, Isaac is the self-imposed black sheep of the family... although the father keeping up his dick attitude reinforces it. It seems his sisters do care a lot for him.
So the perpetual shadow is not just manga sheananigans, his clothes have enchantments to conceal his scarred face? I hope we'll eventually have a face reveal
