While there are issues with the elf village part, I do like that the leader guy there accepted that he was at fault as well. That's the kind of responsibility you never see from elf leaders.
Just healing everything with a potion at the end feels a bit like ignoring everything that's happened. It makes sense if the option is available, but it cheapens the story.

Paying with your life span is a bit cheap if you've got so much of it.It might actually be for the best that she decided to use the potion. Elves live longer than humans, so they might now live more or less the same amount of time.
She's not completely healed, since there were some marks left on her arms as well. Still, weird. Although I kinda liked her ear.If the potion healed all her injuries and even restored her limbs, why does she still have a notch in her ear?
