Its pretty clear that he waited at the site instead of following the guy on his heels.
Also just becouse the target stops moveing once doesn't mean he is at the hideout.
so he would have to catch up witch im sure he is going to do next chapter.

Okay, so the attack wasn't that long ago when the bartender told the story. The bartender's son is the guy they saved (or did they?) and the mother and daughter "picking herbs" (probably herbs=bandits) were accompanied by a group of mercenaries, which included the bartender's son.
And then... only Sonia returned (what happened to the mother then? now this makes me curious) and a few of the mercenaries were kept alive, but she either didn't know that or concluded that they must've been killed.
And she is also the marriage partner for the Jun guy.

This is starting to get messy. Real messy.

Idk guys. In the flashback the bartender looks to be in his 30's or 40's, and it should have only been a few years since that flashback since he says his son was their age. He now looks to be on the latter end of his 50's or more.

I'm not saying that's not his son, just looks like poor planning on the author's part.
