While I'm enjoying this series either way, this chapter just convinced me they do not have nearly enough focus on Rurin and that should be fixed ASAP. Just throw this bastard in jail the very next chapter and show us how Rurin cares for Ell or something.

Honestly, I wouldn't mind if El takes a few chapters off while Rurin figures out how to at least get the restaurant running on her own, and also connecting with the townsfolk by helping them. The ingredients are there since El strained himself getting it all through the magic shop, and it would help her rely more on the regular customers.

She needs some character development time. Let her handle this.
