TL has been a bit rough the past few chapters. Does Luascans not have a QC working on this one lately? Feels like a good MTL or at least not a QC of a native english speaker at minimum. Very garbled at times. Its understandable, but its definitely not fully TL'd to English most would read.

Her grandfather is the "either all in or all out" kind of guy. The twins obviously didn't want to go to school, and FL tricked them into training in seclusion, so now they're training in seclusion and grandpa doesn't send anyone to school anymore. Well, at least until all of his grandkids realize the true need for school. Until then, they can still be homeschooled or study under a private tutor. Studying at school were never compulsory at that era.
