Well i like the genre but this seems to fall into the shallower end of the pool. I'd advise reading the novel chapters on novel updates and then trying some of the late chapters on syosetsu mtled. Not many it's a really poor MTL and eill melt your brain trying to read too much

I like the concept of an otome girl story in the perspective of the male lead, but this story in particular doesnt seem to fully realize its potential

Oh. I remember this. Here is some 'summary-like spoilers' so that people know what they are getting into.

The villainess(?) is "replaced" by a standard isekai reincarnation girl at some point before the banishment journey. (Not entirely sure when). The world was an otome game and the MC is SEVERELY disappointed(?) in plenty of things after the world becomes reality, openly cursing the author.

The guy was a mob character and a genius magic craftsman that is extremely underappreciated by Prince Elephantdouche. (No offense to elephants) He noticed the not so subtle changes in the villainess after she got swapped pretty early but I haven't read to the part where he questioned her about it yet.

Personally I kind of like this but I generally prefer 'crafting stories' (however simple) over EVERYBODY KUNG FU FIGHTIIING

After reading a lot of Otome Isekai, I do wonder is all the male protagonists bunch of dumbhead fools.. like, their credibility and intelligence thinking went down the drain once they've met the heroine.. Are most of the otome games/light novels were meant to written like that?? Like if it's really written like that, ain't just make it all out of fool for the storyline?? ehh.. maybe I am too nitpicking on stories that's purpose is just to pleasure the reader part only(heroine pov)..

it's even more stupid since mostly they're a prince of a country... where they technically should be given much more in term of education... and yet... it look like most of them were at the peak of stupidity lol

on another note, as for whether the male of otome game is written like that or not... it's probably both yes and no since it would be up to each of the scenario writer own skill to portray those. and while i don't really know that much since i don't really play one, according to my siblings which actually play those, they actually think that most of the heroine in the game they're playing were the one that actually seems to act and have thought process like they're at the peak of stupidity not the other way around, mostly, lol. _{and that comment come flying from women.. and i just stand there laughing when they said that.}

in this case, my assumption is, it's probably made this way so the reader could sympathize more easily toward the so called villainess... supposedly and probably...

Umm....story start is a bit confusing??? Like it didn't make much sense. My brain hurts just thinking about trying to understand what the heck, who is who and what just happened. I think, what is missing in this, is the introduction names on the characters (the art panel) and the way how the guy was explaining, didn't make much sense.....but anyway, I'll give this story a chance to understand it. Title was confusing too BTW.... And thank you for your time translating!

@Myst The comments from your siblings, I truly get that and I am a woman myself.. Tbh, I get that they're trying to sympathetize villainous more but heck some of the mangas really threw me off with really lack of character designs and their backgrounds.. It really just feel like a lazy storyline.. One way of communication is just ehh?? and I really wonder if surprised public annulment is truly common practice for nobles?? I'm sorry I'm really lack of knowledge regarding this.. If it's not, then most of the authors( games/light novels/mangas) really don't have creative idea regarding to break off the toxic relationship..
