Can,actually,blame him.

Pholcus phalangioides is the Long Bodied Cellar spider,AKA among the most common members of the umbrella name of "Daddy Long Legs".

For absolute biggest that they can get when very well fed,this Physocyclus globosus,the Short Bodied Cellar spider,is it.

The vast majority that I have personally seen are either 1/2 or 1/3 the size.

The most harmless and quite beneficial spider one can have,since they can catch a large number of insects over the years.

And despite being often preyed on by Jumping Spiders,I have seen one actually attack a jumper,wrap him up,and then bite with relative ease.

Lil' while later,the daddy becomes a mommy when the abdomen expands into a light beige,and after some time,an egg sack in its' jaws.
