Maybe their personalities combined. At least it seemed to me that way.LOL i didnt realize it was bai ji that was there and not ji bai. Im surprised the princess hasnt already made like 10 moves attempting to do something about blood on the way to the banquet
On the plus side, this translator is going really fast so you can expect more updates in the coming days. There's currently 345 chapters, so there's still a backlog to catch up on before we're fully caught up and will need to wait for more raws before seeing any new translated chapters.Man, great read, i just wish i hadnt caught up so fast haha.
I thought that as well, but then I remembered the whole "taking child prisoner" thing, which would kind of feel strange that his personality wouldnt be against it whatsoever. I kinda wonder if he has somehow gained a piece of the girl he looks like now, and what role she will play against the king.Maybe their personalities combined. At least it seemed to me that way.
I bet ji bai comes back somehow. But it will be a long while with all thats going on atm@Lolitsnugget @KuroZer0 It's belatedly occurring to me that Ji Bai is now gone... the author murdered him back in ch300. I just didn't think that would be case because it's too stupid to kill your MC 300 chapters in (plus the way it was done). But objectively, that's the way it looks.
For a long time, it appeared that Ji Bai and Bai Ji were the same person, with the distinction being only in surface personality. But a comment from a WN indicated that there was more of Ji Bai vs Bai Ji personality struggle. That was completely non-obvious for the vast majority of the manga, but now it seems to be the case. Which means that the manga has done absolutely piss poor job of presenting this major plot point.
So now it looks like the author, after 300 chapters or so of dual (dueling?) protagonists decides to get rid of one of them. That's "how to kill a good sized chunk of your audience 101". (Of course, there are readers who want to get rid of Ji Bai, so they'll be happy, but those who empathized with Ji Bai are going to take a hike.) And here how he get's the axe:
Maybe someone familiar with the WN can explain this mess.
- First we're told that his personality had been sealed. ... Well that's news to me. After all, MC was in Ji Bai form while in vampire territory. So what? Was that actually Bai Ji just using his form? But the whole reason he was able to use that form was because he stubbornly retained his own knightly identity.
- Then he barely interacts with his own comrades. And doesn't interact with Keer at all. She's just brushed off.
- Then he fades while doing a token last save of sister (except she's not his sister any more).
- Then he gets blessed by knight elf babe while in the water.
- But then Bai Ji repudiates/destroys him (that's what it looks like when she "shatters" the memories and knightly duties).
- Then MC is in female human form, and I figure that it's actually Ji Bai, but no, it's still Bai Ji.
- Looks like Ji Bai is totally gone and it's just Bai Ji now.
That’s sounds reasonable.@Lolitsnugget @KuroZer0 It's belatedly occurring to me that Ji Bai is now gone... the author murdered him back in ch300. You can find the WN readers on the translator's server for that, look up Shenhua Translations to find themWe REALLY NEED a WN reader to tell us what we missed because that whole identity/persobality split is getting really confused between Jin Bai and his Vampire persona.
Anyway, queen of the Vampires, but really bad at improving ! Jin Bai turbed into Bai Jin ! XD
Anyway, Bai Jin got AraArased in this chapter ! Looks like the author craved for Yuri abd thicc motherly antagonist :'D
Can someone tell me where I can read Ln?
