It's so funny to me that Ji Bai is just out of the equation. You've got Bai Ji the vampire princess now queen who just won their struggle for dominance like a hundred chapters ago.

And then you've got the new fake identity of Bai Ming which just replaced Ji Bai as the knight and is also just Bai Ji in a disguise. Even the emperor of Gulan cares way more about the woman that is Bai Ming than about the man Bai ji and thus Bai Ming once used to be

And good for them honestly, considering Ji Bai and Bai ji were always two sides of the same protagonist I do like that the side that was already changed won out. No going back with her. The knight is dead, long live the knight.

Interestingly She can't go back to Ji Bai anymore.
Slight spoiler Bai Ji only able to transform into Bai Ming in the future in order to change into the human form for specific "espionage" that she tends to do as Ji Bai.

Well the novel will head towards shitshow from this point onwards.
But there's some good catch but mostly it's convoluted mess.

The Manhwa simplified everything so far. We're about 2/3 or is it 7/10 of the story finale.

The current Arc gives a hint of who's the main antagonist are and why Saint Lun blood (Bai Ji and Bai Ming) was important to the story.

As those who want to seek Ji Yue relationship with Bai Ming well don't hope too much.

So basically the entire setup with Ji Bai being the brother is basically thrown away completely and ignored from here on?
And here I was huffing copium he'll somehow snap her out of her Gulan emperor state.
Jokes on me for thinking we'll get a resolution there I guess

Im still holding out hope that Ji Bai will eventually return, i liked him, and its kinda messed up that the creator built him up all this time only to seemingly kill him off without any real resolution

I'm really not, like it's pretty obvious that Bai Ji is just Ji Bai but a woman, they have the same memories they have largely the same attitudes of wanting to protect the weak, and sure like Bai Ji is a vampire and does look at it from a different perspective than Ji Bai as a human did. But they're the same person, Bai Ji is just the version of Ji Bai who has gone through character development and is also now a woman. So a return to Ji Bai would be in my opinion regression more than anything else.

the only reason why bro had split personalities is because he quite literally had 2 versions of him, while they are the same they don't act the same until now that they were more forced to unify (over the hundreds of chapters), compare him to the last appearance to the beginning appearance, massive difference, and the same for vamp queen.

your right they were the same person but PID is a real issue and him trying to solve it over the course of time and heal from basically losing your life and have it replaced by another from an enemy species is quite the mental task.

I don't fully hate the idea of the knight coming back but in a more hybrid state like it was shown way early on where he had the vampire hair and eyes but was still a dude, it looked dope and the armor color shift was nice as well, but I wish we had a better end for his "death", even if it was an eventual merge.

I guess Ji Bai is truly dead when Ji Yue used the holy blood to kill him. Ji Bai is the main protagonist until his tragic death and then Bai Ji replaced him as the main protagonist for the rest of the series. RIP Ji Bai, you will be missed.

Seeing his soul perished in chapter 300 make me believe that he can no longer be revived
