Is that the end this is going for? Everyone is dead? Look, tragedies are nice and all, but for them to work you need at least some writing competence. If the author had the brains to realize his lack of skills, he should go for the much easier power fantasy route.

the story that i originally started with really is not being given justice by this recent wrtiting. honestly, i am tempted to make a summary after this whole thing is over just to make sense of it and see if there’s an value left.

Yeah, ever since they changed the og artist (I think) the artstyle got super inconsistent. Sometimes they'll get a really cool looking scene but most of the time the proportions and the scenes itself don't look good or consistent. I prefered the way this series looked like when it started since the designs were a lot more consistent. And yes, Rin's only role since the end of that Gulan arc was being deppressed by her mother's death (and only showed up in like 1 chapter) and be mind controlled. They didn't even show what happened to her after she was defeated by that think that possessed Bai Ji's body. (Which is a recurring thing in this series, idk if it's like that in the novel too or it became like that when transitioning from WN to manhua.)
