Okay, a bit of fair warning to people who come here from Munakata. Hoshino-sensei was originally known for adapting Western sci-fi into manga form and for writing PSEUDOSCIENCE into his original manga. This was also the case with early chapters of Munakata, in which badly outdated or completely baseless pseudohistorical content were prevalent. The later chapters which are much better researched and contain actual academic speculation in the Japanese scholarly community came about after his editor decided to make the series as a whole more respectable by consulting actual historians and folklorists. That's why the more recent second Munakata series is so well-researched despite the still-fantastical nature of the stories themselves.

This manga came from the Hoshino Dark Ages. Anyone with basic knowledge of up-to-date palaeontology will cringe at the horribly outdated contents and the sheer amount of pseudoscience involved in the writing. So if you want to read this, just appreciate the story and forgive the B.S. There is nothing like the quality of research in current Munakata to be found here and the manga actually reads like pulp-era sci-fi stories despite being written in 1991. Good old guilty fun.

Munakata isn't the only writer who tries to look smart without doing his homework. This looks like fun at the very least.

@sssr is basically right about the feel of the story. its like im reading a comic written by Edgar Rice Burroughs. this has the same feel as The Land That Time Forgot, The Mars Chronicles (the Barsoom series or the story of John Carter) and many others. link for list of wrote, you can look up and read for self if like this story

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edgar_Rice_Burroughs
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edgar_Rice_Burroughs_bibliography

edit: just remember these stories written between 1900-1950 with the knowledge and science of the time. and the prejudices. and other stuff like that

Randomly found this story a couple of minutes ago when I was searching at Time Travel stories that don't have romance in them. I find it kind of funny I found a story like this that was updated 10-days-ago

It reminds me of the TV series Terra Nova which wasn’t bad and had an interesting concept.
It ended after 1 season sadly.
