@Lithe Fair I guess. I've also read enough to hone my tastes and standards. I don't think you're giving the author enough credit, and I'm sure the things you like are also in some ways predictable and cliche. Alas though, no point in arguing about it, people often think what they like is perfect but I know there's literally nothing that is perfect, maybe you're not like that but ah well regardless, it's just how the world is and I rather agree to disagree on this series and the like. Have a nice day.

Should have just ended last chapter.

This was extremely predictable, btw. I was hoping this won't be the case, but this series has 4 or more volumes out, so...

If she actually dies (which really shouldn't happen, c'mon modern medicine), I'm dropping this. I don't need such depressing stuff in my life.

keep things going by making events spin out of control the moment everything was normal.
That's precisely the forced part. I am sure most people have a pretty good idea where the author is going with this, still doesn't change the fact that it's a fairly bland and unlikely development.

You would have just liked her to finish the song, go to jail, end of story?
Going to jail when she doesn't have to is pretty irrational. However that's what makes it realistic - people are stupid. If anything it would have been more original than where this is going.

any time someone doesn't care for a development or something they complain about it being "cliche",
It being cliche is one point, the more important point is how forced and unlikely the development is. Basically the author pulled it off ineptly. You could have a cliche story that's great just due to the execution, this is obviously not the case here.

This is probably the thing I mostly take issue with:
it's honestly an interesting karma/punishment setup, she stabs her father on the street, now her friend gets stabbed on the street
There's nothing interesting in the idea of divine punishment. That has been overdone to death and simply sabotages the plot in most works - literally a deus ex machina development in order to satisfy some misconception about what 'justice' is.

Well said @criver and @Lithe! In addition having planned and executed such murder herself, she shouldn't have been caught as flat footed as she was.

I think/hope she's not dead.

Stabbing someone once isn't enough to kill them on the spot, unless you aim for the heart.

Due to the similar method used, the stalker will end up taking the fall for the dad's murder, I'm guessing

@criver That's an interesting perspective you have, but I don't share it. We could debate about how I disagree with you and you disagree with me, but what's the point? We both have different perspectives and neither of us is wrong. We don't have to see eye to eye, and it's fine if you want to be a critic that rips into the story, I'm just not going to go that route and I rather just enjoy the ride. Have a nice day.

what's the point?
The point in general is for at least one party to benefit from the discussion.
and neither of us is wrong
Idk about that. I could be wrong, you could be wrong, both of us could be wrong. That's the point of discussions - learning something new.

@criver Learning something new is all well and good, but often things get heated in debates and discussions, if things take a turn for the worse it can just be frustrating and exhausting for all parties involved. I'm mainly saying that neither of us are wrong for having a different perspective, I mean both of our perspectives could be wrong and you're right there, who knows. The way I look at it is any of us could die at any moment for the most random reasons, it happens all the time. So I think to myself, is spending my finite amount of time debating a series with people really what I want to be doing right now? If I have free time I usually rather spend that reading more manga (various different ones), finding a new series, and so on. Sometimes looking at these comments for alternative perspectives can help add contrast, or saying why I think a series is good can help me identify why I like it. Which I've stated the reasons why I think the series is good and people have told me it's just cliche and predictable, I can see where they're coming from and that's fine. I just personally like the narrative and find the story interesting, I'm hoping it'll have some more twists and turns along the way, but maybe people are right and the whole thing is easily predictable, either way it's not the end of the world. Right now I'm just going to try enjoying it for the moment, and if all else fails I can always stop reading this particular manga and focus my efforts on something else I'm currently reading instead.

Nice.
Feel like it gonna end in this chapter and boom, someone loses the place she belong again.
Wonder what will happen next.

Good god that single-handedly dropped my enjoyment of this. Feels totally unnecessary and forced.
