I'll return to batches at some point, likely sooner than you think. So with this one, I feel like addressing in the forum for the few people that read this my personal choice to render "Hell" as "Heck".
I've explained before that generally, I'm going off the official translation of the original manga as kind of a basis for how to tackle this but not quite going full hog in a lot of areas because the original manga as it was released over here was trying to target close to the same demographic but was before really widespread censorship stopped and as such, a lot of little alterations were made to the content. It's still incredibly intact and I'd argue in many ways done very tastefully to where nothing of value was lost but still. So with that in mind, I do allow myself room for slightly harsher language, I'm not necessarily trying to be 100% true to the source since of course I'm really doing a lot of adapting and then there's this matter.
Simply put? I think the continuous referencing of Hell as Heck is quite funny in the original manga. I think it adds to the overall nonsensical and aloof quality of Dr. Slump and so I kind of knew going into this that for that reason, this is something I was gonna do.
