The extreme abuse he suffered at the hands of his family left him prisoner to himself, he grew up in his desires but he didn't mature healthily.
He isn't maliciously depraved, with this I mean that... he isn't in control of his own perversions, this isn't a man that has lived a life that allowed the conscious decision to become this twisted, he doesn't even seem to take true pleasure in this.
