Thank you for the chapter! This series kinda reminds me of FMA in some aspects, the aesthetic of sorta-but not really Europe and an intriguing overarching mystery.
The MC is an ex mercenary so I'm surprised learning the "pope" was willing to betray his ally wasn't a bigger deal. Wouldn't that be the number one taboo for mercenaries? You can't be working for someone who has a reputation of fucking over people they got help from.
Goddamn; fuck the pope. Not because he had Coura kill Guillaume, but because he never told Lucas. A commander can't do jackshit if he's not told what assets he has access to.
