Since his body is made of branches, does this mean he's a construction of the Empire's tower? Also, "people of this era"? I wonder if that's because he's been doing this for so long, or if there's some time shenanigans in play on this story.

On page 22, "If only I could catch him, things will work out..." I believe it should be "[...] would work out..."?

Also, thank you very much for the scanlation.

why is this manga so fuckin peak? The Dark Souls boss with gravity powers morphing the manga borders was so cool!
Also the casual cassette tape player reveal, starting to remind me of Touge Oni abit with the fantasy scifi elements and time travel.

thanks for the fast TL, yall on a roll!

Fully agree with you, the paneling is so fkn peak. On the topic of Touge Oni, that too is a great read and I recommend anyone that hasn't done so yet to check it out.

At first I thought the gravity ramus was using his powers to slow down Carmillas aging, then i actually read the panels properly. Seems like i was speedreader-kun this time. But it interesting that he's made of branches, if the towers can do that why not make a bunch of nothing copies. Also fucked that the guy who can never really change is in charge of raising a kid. But thank you for the chapter, great work as usual

The last time I saw the power of foresight was so cool too. I only know two in my lifetime and they are straight into anime.

The Book of Bantorra
The Zodiac Wars

I assure you these two anime are Award Winning.

Holy shit what a great fight! I especially love the visual of the panel tilting to show the direction of gravity when the Skyfall is using his power.
Also, I really like the bottom panel on page 38, because it tells a complete story in a single panel, and you immediately understand the relationship between these three brand new characters, no overexplainging narration or flashback needed. Poor Meryl... "your Camilla is right here" Since she survived, I'm sure we'll see more of her.

So, going from the Mirror's and now the Skyfall's example, flowering is triggered by a big emotional shock or realization. I wonder what triggered the Garland. Considering the burns(?) on her face, I doubt it's anything good.

Another really epic fight, continuing the author's masterful art of having single specific powers used in incredibly creative and deep ways, particularly in combination with others. As with mirror, spatial manipulation from an old experienced ramus is really something, but time powers could be even more broken then that. He seems to have the ability not merely for short range precog (or closed timelike curve thinking anyway) but also to actually jump slightly backwards in time. Or alternatively what we were seeing was itself just another potential scenario he avoided. But this chapter also showed that he is still a being of the world, he might be able to pick the best of the various possible futures but if his chances are zero he can't make something happen out of nothing, zero chance times anything is still zero. Also kinda cool to see those modern black hole visualizations showing up in more fiction from authors who pay attention, they are indeed extraordinary looking.

And we've had lots of subtle hints, but interesting drop with a piece of modern technology, not just that but in English. I see specifically "Sony" and "Stereo", so author didn't merely go with some random tech but specific to our era, to decades ago even. So definitely looking like a post-apoc scenario, although compared to many it continues to get played very very close to the chest.

Thanks so much for the chapter!

This is obviously 1000+ years into our future now. Remember, we knew this was Earth and specifically Europe from the brief reveal where it showed the world from orbit. Only real question was if it was totally AU or split off somewhere from our own timeline, now clearly the latter. From the talk at the bar the Pope had seems like all of the "Tower Administrators" were part of some big goal that kicked off far in the past. It's possible this guy is an original, either who has simply been kept alive all that time, or else his mind has been preserved and he gets reinstantiated into a new branch based body.

Would be a believable explanation for why he's so fucked up. Sheer exhaustion, and he can't even choose to die. Though of course also possible that he just likes it.

Welp, here I am again for another instalment of this fantastic series.

Some may have noticed already from the credits, but I'm now officially part of Wizard Scans as Proofreader for Sensou Kyoushitsu! There had been demand for me to help out from multiple angles, and I have to thank the team for waiting until after the start of this month before I accepted the offer; I wanted to see if MangaPlus would replace the finished Twin Stars Exorcists with another Jump SQ series as part of my consideration.

(I certainly didn't expect the MTL drama in the meantime)

Now then, onto the chapter itself: when the previous chapter mentioned "Skyfall", I was wondering what that could possibly mean, especially since we already have someone who pulls meteors from the sky. But man was the answer fantastic: crazy gravity powers, complete with Gravity Rush-esque disorienting perspectives who can rise and fall from the sky. Heck, looking at things again, the old man's cape even kind of functions like Kat's scarf too, as a tell for the current direction of the gravity!

But man is Akira's Prediction completely busted when complimented with super strength. His brand of Prediction is pretty much on the same level as Jin's Side Effect "Foresight" from World Trigger: able to extensively see how different futures can play out based on what actions are taken before committing to something in the present.

As if that wasn't enough, he has access to the powers of Rami who died in the vicinity too. With this level of strength, I find it hard to believe he isn't secretly the Emperor of the Empire, even though all the dialogue seems to indicate they are separate beings.

At last, Lucas' crew have found their target. The real mission can begin.

Finally, by this point it's plenty obvious that time shenanigans are about, that the world we're in isn't just a plain old medieval fantasy. The question is how did it end up this way?

I thought it was gross when the skyfall ramus peed on himself, but hes falling constantly and ik thats terrifying. Also I think Akira isnt a clone but his body is mostly branches from the tower like a prosthetic
