Okay I'm kind of hoping that this guy gets his just deserved I mean he was stalking a woman ended up accidentally killing her and then he was going to leave his friend behind just to save his own ass without so much as a second thought so yeah he deserves death

the lady he killed... the way she turned that situation around so quickly AND monetised it. You don't see that kind of daringness that often followed by "kersplat". I don't care if he's a bad person or not - compared to her, he's barely a person at all. I resent him because his one claim to infamy is accidentally killing someone more interesting than him.
this chapter is actually kinda brilliant for that reason: you can engage with it either directly and morally, or you can engage with it for pure entertainment value - either way, it's constructed so you'll want this guy dead either way.

That woman might have been bad news but the whole thing was also Gen's own fault. Like others have said this chapter is basically saying that every single surviving person in the group has their personal issues which will catch up to them in the living cave. Gotta wonder what Hajime is hiding with those always-dead, thousand yard stare eyes of his - will not be surprised if he turns out to be the biggest sinner of them all.
