Tbh, MC is under pressure, losing blood and consciousness would make ANYONE make terrible decision. Especially if he's a singleminded person. From the start he wanted to save his friend.

@LokiAsengott Because the author doesn't want to put a mystery on who's the manager, but on what will happen if a fake manager is being put on the platter. This is a good direction IMO, MC being oblivious and Ruka pulling the innocent identity. It will keep things interesting on how the managing agents find out which one is really the manager.

You know, this chapter would have a lot more tension if we didn't had that unnecessary flashback last chapter. Because we already know the answer, all tension that was supposed to exist here just falls flat (unless last chapter was a red herring or something, then I might be impressed).
