Never thought I'd say this, but the titties are distracting me from trying to follow the actual plot.

This isn't even that complicated a story.
The protagonist can control hounds. The current villain wants to know how to do that so he can get close to the person he loves.
The current villain originally thought the lesbian knew how but intuited that she can't but knows that she knows someone who can (the protagonist)

So now the lesbian is in danger since she has no direct value to him, as he only cared about her to understand how to control the hounds in the first place.

The plot about the two random people that came from the ceiling is about escaping the room. It's locked from the inside and only the villain can open it. They gave her the information that it's locked and that she needs to get a keycard that he always carries around in order to get out.

General plot revolves around Ai, a fake city, an everpresent watchful entity.

@Kampfarsch
Bruh he found her phone, and that's what made him come to the assumption he did. Turns out he was right soo...

@djamel90 Re-read the previous chapter and you'll see why the power to control hounds is important to him.

It's fun how Yukiko has gained more protagonism than the MC.

I hope Yukiko, Ai, and MC all enter into a relationship with one another.

I know dating two people at once is weird, but nothing in here is normal.

Lol, what are you guys on?

She's clearly a side character that the manga's currently focusing on for now. That's like saying the Zoro arc in one piece made Zoro the protag.

The only person it's been hinted at that Ai likes is the MC. MC's the only one that's shown to be kind and supportive. MC's the only one that's charismatic enough to actually draw people to him. Not saying Yukiko's a bad character though. Her pragmatism and bullheadedness make for an interesting character. Definitely not the lead character, and I would honestly be shocked if she makes it out of this predicament on her own without the help of the actual MC and the child genius.

@djamel90
Hounds aren't important to the main story. They're only important to this villain's character arc so far.
Ai is still a mystery but the reason she's so important is because she's the catalyst. Confessing to Ai is what causes the eye in the sky to appear and time to turn back after Ai gets brutally murdered.

@Tamerlane
If you want good harem romance stories go read something like Mushoku Tensei. He actually marries 3 different girls in that one and is able to maintain a happy family life for a while.
Isekai Nonbiri Nouka goes a ridiculous route and the MC has over a thousand romantic partners, but that story is kinda nuts.

There's also Parallel Paradise, and Shinju No Nectar.

All the main storylines for those manga are actually really good too.

Personally don't mind those stories as it's just wish-fulfillment stuff, but I disagree when it comes to this manga in particular.

Since the MC doesn't like Yukiko in that way, and Yukiko doesn't like the MC in that way (for obvious reasons,) I think it's better that they're competing for Ai's affection. It's also a show of their friendship that they're able to put that part aside so they can help Ai. I think the current dynamic makes them more interesting as characters.

Honestly, I'm not entirely sure that Ai is gonna make it out alive, or even that she is an actual person and not just a plat of some kind. Yukiko and MC I think share a more interesting dynamic and more chemistry than most alternative pairings. It's not so much a "harem" ending as it is a bigamy/biamory ending if Ai does make it out. (I heard Fate did something similar where that main character, Rin and Saber ended up in a relationship after one of the endings, but I don't know much about Fate and don't really care). Though, this is a complete "what if?" situation, as if all three DO escape, which I'm starting to doubt, that would be the ending I'd prefer.

Though, what I'm starting to suspect is that Ai is a plant that causes people close to her to INTENTIONALLY fall in love with her, because so far THREE DIFFERENT CHARACTERS have done so. I wouldn't be surpised if the case isn't that Yukiko, MC, et al. are actually in love with her but rather they're compelled to think so because of her being specifically designed to cause people to fall in love. Maybe it's meant as a back-door option or a sneakly programmed thing that someone did in order to reveal the truth to people. If that's the case, then hot damn. It could also lead to some characters reevaluating some of their info and what they thought they knew about themselves, which would be interesting in and of itself.
@TitanAnteus

Also there's always the possibility she's bisexual, which I think is actually a bit more likely given some of the circumstance. Given how everyone is always being watched-which would mean if she only showed attraction to women and then started to appear that she was attracted to men as she does-and she can very easily pretend she's in a relationship with the main character-which she can do so convincingly that I am starting to think that she may have some feelings for him on some level, I wouldn't be surprised if she was attracted to both.

I think people jumped the gun to assume just because she's fallen for a single woman, that automatically excludes the possibility she could also be attracted to men. I don't think that's accurate in this situation.

Ai as being a system to create the emotion of love is the test subjects but which hen force that love to be broken or unrequited would be something that would fit within the MO of the designers of the system.

The fact that there are several persons based on the "AI" template all apparently fulfilling core roles in the system does point to Ai being more tied into the system as a whole.

Ai is not a character right now, she is a Mcguffin. That's why not many people are interested in this supposed big love. Also Yukiko is a lot more interesting, MC is pretty generic. I would not call her a side character by any means.

If you notice, she specifically says "naughty" feelings.

Part of me thinks it may just be a child's understanding of infatuation, but I'm not entirely sure about that.

I think there's the possibility that Ai makes people around her "fall" for her unknowingly. I think part of it is so she can replace the cakemaker when she grows up and have a constant supply of managers to run the operations of the town when people "confess" to her.

This means she makes anyone, possible even regardless of sexuality, become infatuated with her so that they can have a steady supply of new recruits that are loyal BECAUSE they want to ensure the object of their affection is safe and prevents them from escaping the town because the person they love is stuck there. Hence why the guy in the last two chapters is implied to have fallen in love with the CURRENT cakemaker, and why the kid that's constantly helping them is also implied to have developed feelings at some point for her until he saw his mom commit suicide.

If this is the plan, then it explains a LOT about what is happening in the town and the various happens at the time.

@tokuzawa_keisuke @InfiniteVerisimilitude @Ninja

If this is true, then it could have powerful ramifications on the story and I'd like it
