I expected something much more sinister or depressing, considering how things went down in that bunker.

But it turned out to be heart-warming instead. Salvation found in humanity's art, maintained by the machines left behind. Pretty dang cool.

Now we can wonder where it goes from there then. So a monster that seems to be less of an offensive unit from the war but rather something that has decided to keep protecting something, seeing it didn't kill the people but rather they died from the infection of the area.

Took words straight out of my mouth. Yeah I am glad this manga manages to keep me on toes without too obvious cliches.

Thank you for translations!

Thanks for the translation.
The art in this chapter is particularly noteworthy.

Every chapter of this manga could be a movie or even a short film of it's own, nah the magazines are coping not spamming awards on this one

Suddenly Nier Automata
I heard "A Beautiful Song" start when the door opened. Glad it didn't turn into a boss fight.

. . .though it would be a kick ass fight. First phase is the mechanical dragon, second phase they are joined by the puppet orchestra. Wouldn't have been out of place in Lies of P.

It's curious how the clock tower remained standing despite the entire city being destroyed. Could the repair bot have rebuilt it from the ground up, or did something protect it from the invasion?

This setting would be perfect for a From Software game, that puppet oooph, chef’s kiss.
You can taste the tiny bits of mythos amongst the decay of the world, where you know the world is the real protagonist.

I'm wondering if all three of them will be traveling together for awhile. Might feel a bit lonely if they part ways, both for her and me lol.

There have been rare case of building standing undamaged after a city was attacked in war.
I remember such a story about a village in north of France where, i think it was, a church was still standing after the first and seconde world war, when the rest of the village was basicaly erased by the bombing.
