The dialogue is pretty bad, this isn't how people casually talk to each other. It feels like they're forcing the plot to move forward.

As expected, the quality of this manga dropped significantly after they shifted it to focus on action.
I feel the same way, worked way better as a slow burn exploration. I sense editor influence on more characters! more explosions!

Oh was the eternal child project supposed to be some kind of ark project originally?
Well.... we now know there was something like an "Ark".
Given the limitations of space travel when you don't have such a thing as an FTL drive...

You'd want crew that's near-immortal and quite a bit more sturdy than us squishy humans, and more flexible than robots and automated systems that can fail.
Lots of if's and but's , but it looks like they tried the androïd/artificial human approach, at least one of which succeeded, as is evidenced by our MC here.

Honestly I've some crack shit going on in my head based off some of the language the dead dude used, but I think it'll probably be best to let shit play out.

They reaaaally need to doubletap that creature. Cut off the weapons it used, at least.
Even before exploring, I would have brought it to the nearest body disposal facility, mixed the ashes with concrete, and poured it into a deep, deep hole...

Wait, 'as' an eternal child...like, you could turn a person INTO one, not make them from scratch?
Uh oh. That's...
hooboy, that's got some dark implications.
Dead person said "If it were only possible, I would have hoped to serve you as an eternal child." Meaning it's not possible. Could be just because of the crystalosis and maybe you're on to something though.

That part about how "We attempted to free you, but... were unable to" Sounds super creepy though. Like, are these Executioner worshipers? What were they trying to free? The executioner that stabbed itself with the sword? A consciousness within the sword? A hive-mind comprised of many executioners that was somehow subjugated?

Or maybe it's a more innocent meaning and they were just trying to free the ark spaceship from the earth. But the speech sounds religious and when are devoted religious acolytes ever a good thing in manga lol.
