Or just ignore the call and let it go to voicemail. You can claim you were too busy to notice the voicemail until too late in the day to call back. It takes a bit more backbone, but it's cheaper.

There's probably some happy medium between saying yes to slavish overtime even on days off, and being a NEET.

Plus having a job at all disqualifies you from being a NEET. (Not in Education, Employment or Training) Not wanting to work on your days off is reasonable, and should be the norm.
