I can’t see this title without thinking of it literally, since that was a thing which actually happened. Having your heart removed after death and buried (or memorialized) separately used to be a thing — Henry I, Robert the Bruce, Richard I, Eleanor de Castile, and Thomas Hardy are examples of people who had it done. And René de Chalon, Prince of Orange, had it done — the memorial is somewhat famous — and his heart was later literally stolen.
