Intimacy is important part of any relationship, and it wasn't drawn like porn, it was realistic and awkward depiction of teenagers making out. Seriously, it's dumb point. You think only kids can write fiction about kids making out? And that they should stop once they reach adulthood? That adults should just pretend kids don't have sexual urges, and just close their eyes when depicting horny teenagers with "fade to black"? Why not use fade to black every time someone is killed on manga pages too? You don't need to see someone dying and suffering in their last moments, just their dead body afterwards. Hell, there are stories where kids murder each other. How is making out somehow worse to depict?
It's just nonsensical and harmful censoring of fiction. You can depict murder, torture or rape in your story, if it's important part of it, and as long as you treat it with proper care no one should say anything against you. Why shouldn't Norio draw kids making out, when that awkward and confused process is important to understand their current relationship status, and when it's not drawn as pointlessly titillating?
You offer nothing as argument against it except "it's gross", which is utterly worthless as critique of art or writing.
Yeah your point sound resonable I think I understand it now. I havent thought that much about it it just seemed weird, not gross, weird to me in the first moment but after listening to your explanation I think I understand it now. Hope you have a great day
It's like saying, why is character drawn going to poop ? In "Lord of the Rings" none of the characters ever needed toilet, I don't want to hear about poop in my manga! Except LotR is written on purpose as high-minded story like sagas of heroes of old, so it's fair if Tolkien ignores toilet needs, but it doesn't make his approach better than author who writes their characters taking dumps, just different.
I could understand someone having problems with the cover page, not that Norio doesn't have right to draw it, but at least I can see criticizing it as unnecessarily titillating without being important to the story.
"Make the Exorcist Fall in Love" devoted most of one chapter to
teenage MC masturbating while imagining female MC doing it with him, and while we didn't see him stroking the dick etc., mostly his horny imagination and him making faces, it was still several pages of kid rubbing it out - and it was important, because as a Catholic exorcist priest and as a friend of FeMC he was feeling deep guilt and shame about it.
You can't just "fade to black" important stuff like that.
Wait, what happened on Twitter? I don't have account there, some dumb drama?
Guess we need to queue the theme for 16 & Pregnant soon, where they end up ruining their lives and having a kid that grows up to resent them because they have no clue how to be actual parents or the ability to provide for them.
Ask me how I know.
It's actually being handled fairly well here, but my god does it trigger my anxiety of them doing something stupid and ruining their future.
If this has been addressed, i somehow missed it. There's a moment when she's hiding him on their school trip right after her "hey, are we adults" line where she pretty clearly got a grip on the icchiconda (fresh off its surprising performance in the battle) and instantly entered sage mode.
As an idol that I support said, if they did the deed, then the rest of the manga is boring.. And I would agree.. So even if they do, I hope the mangaka doesn't explicitly show/mention but just drop a vague/playful hint.. since the innocence of the characters here is what's making me interested.. i
It can happen. I can attest. Mine was like this too. But there was a lot of talking in between while having each other in arms.. but it took us til morning and all we just did is smooching and snuggling..
Lmao i forgot both of them are dorks. They don’t know shit about relationships, heck IT IS their first relationship so the fact that they don’t know how to properly moved ONTO the next step (they knew the next step but don’t know how to take that step) make perfect sense to me.
So they didn't go all the way, but they've got one foot in the door. I'm okay with this, I think it's more climactic if it happens after he passes the exam.
Yeah still dont know how to feel about it being drawn, like "ok but why do I have to see them fuck?" I mean in the end they didnt but idk I feel uncomfortable watching lil kids make out
Sadly nothing more happened, i mean, it was way better than nothing and i'm really glad it was, and fortunately it wasn't a rom com style interruption, but still, i hoe something more happens in the near future, also, we all know that if there is ever an anime adaptation they will sadly tone it down/censor it...

That's the beauty of fiction. Unless its author decides that bad things will happen, they won't. Besides, with how oversensitive weebos are to females exhibiting any signs of being actual female humans, do you honestly think the author, editor and publisher will have the series' main sales draw get knocked up? I really don't.
Also there was an entire arc dedicated to carrying and hiding a condom
