Man, the way show business strips talented artists/models of their normal life and turns them into manageable products to avoid unnecessary issues down the line really creeps me out. The worse part is that all of this precaution really isn't entirely the agency's fault but rather the public's perception of one wrong move, and all the investment for that talent goes down the drain. That's why the part in Chainsaw Man where Quanxi talks about a reporter who she's a fan of had a scandal and got disillusioned from it sticks to my mind everytime this issue comes up. It's the fragility of our perception that's hard to fight against, and it seems most apparent in eastern media.
