@Barjosvio It was probably setsubun. Yamada worse an Oni mask but Ichikawa is too much of a nerd to not take it too seriously and wanted to make a story behind the Oni, so Yamada just put the mask on him instead which embarrassed them both as it became an indirect kiss and etcetera.

What a huge fifth grader...and what huge growth in one year! Her Yamada genes kicked in.

and I can't refrain from commenting on the clever variation on an elementary school kid wearing a swimsuit to school, or even a variation on the kid forgetting to bring underwear to change into after swim class. If she's gone that far it's pretty funny she thought to put on that skirt but forget everything else. Coming in just her swimsuit would actually make more sense! As expected of Sakurai!

And her being a clumsy crybaby in kindergarten really fits her character; her comical (social) clumsiness is obvious, but also how she's more sensitive than she may look.
