So Ichikawa DID have history with her and she DID have some interest in him...But why is it in an extra chapter....it makes it feel non canon.

It's kinda interesting how Anna Yamada became that unavoidable obstacle in what could have been a relationship between Kyotaro Ichikawa and Moeko Sekine...

I mean, I guess you could see some potential for chemistry between Kyo and Moe, but, well... Moe's reaction there at the end feels like it wouldn't have gone well (literally called him scum for the guilt-trip move). Anna just works better since she seems willing to accept all aspects of him.

I guess if he kept quiet about how he really convinced Hosaka to apologize, there might have been potential, but either it would have come to light at some point, or he'd make another move that'd bother her and push her away eventually, anyway.

There's really only one girl for Kyo, ultimately.

If this is about the "what if" field, the point would have remained about Moeko looking for a "boifwi" and Ichikawa remaining as a creepy edgelord... behavior he would lose over time. Once that phase is over, you must remember Moeko is the "I can fix him" type, so she would have looked for Ichikawa (circa 3rd year in middle school) to establish a deal where she would show him as a boyfriend while he would learn to talk to women thanks to her. Of course, that would be a totally cold deal, only for the show and proper for the two scummy people who took part of it, unless...
