Sure, they've both essentially confirmed their feelings to each other in various roundabout ways, but this is the first time either of them has said it so unequivocally, out loud, in front (or, anyway, within earshot) of the other. Gonna take some alone time to process all that...and then maybe some together time, after.

Yeah... Nanjou (Pickup-pai) wasn't really an obstacle, not at least since that last exchange outside of the school as Anna dragged Kyo away. He was already well aware of how they felt about each other at that point, pretty sure, and all his actions since then (possibly even since New Year's, especially the way the anime rendered that exchange) may well have been prodding to get Anna to admit it, since his efforts have generally been focused on her. Especially considering he made a point to try and stop Kyo from blurting it out when they were talking as Anna came up in the aforementioned scene.

Not that we really need to see it, but I do kinda hope Mamiya (Nanjou's female childhood friend that's always following him around) finally gets what she clearly wants from Nanjou, a serious relationship. The guy's proven he's not actually a piece of shit, and was even pushing our main pair to make progress, in his own way.

Also... yeah... what the hell did they do in those few seconds that involved Anna's ribbon being taken off? Considering how they've generally been, I doubt it was anything particularly physical, since I know they won't do anything significant like a kiss out of view. Maybe another tradition was upheld, like the second button thing? Is there something having to do with a girl giving her ribbon away? Even though they're not graduating, it could have been a significant enough act to take, given the event.

I already know their first kiss certainly isn't for a bit, and I know that the very first thing Anna does after giving her reply to Kyo's confession was the first peck on the cheek she's given him, according to the anime, so it's not like they'd be doing a make-out session at this stage when they're not even ready to have that cheek peck kiss in private until months after this...

Also, Anna walks out with Icchi's eyes. Wicked little touch.
Well, they're not quite ichi eyes- they're swirly eyes... Ichikawa has distinct circles within circles, not a swirl pattern.

Overthinking too much.

Ichikawa realized Yamada just said something terribly embarrasing that he shouldn't have listened to. Those seconds were him wearing in his jacket and putting in his shoes before leaving away as fast as he could to stop making feel Yamada more akward than she already has.

And that, by itself, shows how much Ichikawa respects and considers Yamada: any other guy would have taken advantage of the momentum to press against the girl he likes (as proven by Nanjou stopping Ichikawa and questioning him about why wasn't he taking advantage of that situation). Ichikawa, on the other hand, caught instantly she needed to be left alone.

Right- I wasn't saying they were doing anything much, especially since my only conclusion was just something to do with the ribbon itself and nothing more than that, to explain why it was missing.

The subsequent bolting in opposite directions was a classic 'we're both too embarrassed right now' sort of instance, so I kinda understood that part well enough.

She needed oxygen, maybe? XD

I mean, she clearly doesn't like that ribbon because women doesn't like to have "restricting" things in their clothes. (Same applies with Yoshida, Sekine and even Kobayashi, sometimes) and she actually needed to be "free" to process what just happened there.
