I kind of understand the thought process of why Ichikawa decided to confess at the moment. he knows that Yamada likes him, so he thinks that her going along with the trip instead of the audition was just to make Ichikawa like her/fall for her more so he probably thinks that if Yamada knows that he likes her too she wont hold herself back anymore and just go do her dreams or whatever.

Hara san truly pointed out how pointless the "problem" with Ando (mask girl)'s flash mob is. No idea why that was even a thing in the first place.

Also Ichikawa could've easily gotten out of that though. since he knows most of the girls there he could easily just say "ive been mistaken as kobayashi so sensei forced me in. can you guys let me out?" plus Yamada is there. she'll just vouch for him. or explain for him to get him outta there.

It's happened in the manga before – during chocolate preparation with Yamada's mother. They are middle school students and they keep assuming the worst will happen in these embarrassing situations.

Yamada hid Ichikawa for the reason, that both of them want to keep their relationship a secret (see Yamada's letter to Hanzawa-san in chapter 102). Kankan (the mask girl) is a manifestation of the part of Japanese culture that was brought up on the MangaDex forum for a previous chapter. The classmates/schoolmates/colleagues gossiping about people dating in Japan puts a lot of pressure on the couples. It gets so bad sometimes that it's easier for people to break up, than to deal with it. People attribute it to Japan being a more collectivist society than the very individualistic Western countries.
