So.. She cannot be happy yeah... Suck to be her.. Maybe taking her own life will shift the story much more... Giving the scwartz headache... And destroy the world in the process...

Honestly Schwartz makes no sense. Like why does it matter who is the demon king and Kohana:s progress to become a hero. Like who is to say the world is ending. Or whatever thing Oracle they have is the only way to not getting the world destroyed.... Geez

IKRRRR LIKE WHAT MAKES THEM SO ADAMANT TO FOLLOW THE STORY THO?!
LIKE-- CANT WE FIND A LOOPHOLE AND TAKES ADVANTAGE OF THAT I MEAN IT WAS A MIDDLE SCHOOLER STORY ANYWAY
man, I like the angst but this slow burn(?) is too much bro :qq:
And I really, really want to see the backstory of Konoha and what she thinks, like we get the back story of OG Iana... sadly as far as i know there is none

I think the general idea is:
It is known that following the route of the original story leads to the good ending of the original story. (low risk, medium reward)
It is unknown whether following some other route leads to a good or bad ending. (high risk, high reward)

Schwarz would rather have the story play out, tragedies included, to guarantee a good ending, rather than preventing tragedies and entering unknown territory.
It makes sense as a motive.
Of course, they are villains. Their motive might be flawed.
But it makes enough sense to not be dismissed out of hand, which is why Iana struggles with it.

We have not seen the world-ending threat yet. Maybe in the story, if Konoha had been any weaker she would have lost, so every bit of trauma that would make her stronger matters.

I'm kinda confused, i don't even know what happened, at first i thought this is some kind of comedy fix-my-chuuni-novel but suddenly it went darker and darker. I hope Iana and Konoha (author) will gain true happiness 🥲

An analogy would be: would you go back in time to kill Hitler if you didn't know whether the resulting power vaccuum would result in a new, more competent leader who would lead nazi Germany to victory and ultimately commit even more atrocities than Hitler did?
What if there was a 50% chance the cold war would have eradicated humanity, and we lucked out the first time, but the butterfly effect you would cause would roll those dice again?

One can see that the question is not that simple.
