Makes you wonder.. if Merlin, the Demon King of Pride, is this greedy and moved by money..

Makes you wonder how greedy the actual Demon King of Greed in this world would be...

Actually now that I think about it.. Merlin does very often exhibit extreme behavior associated with each of the 7 Deadly Sins:
Lust - often teases Alice and ogling enjoying women with a big rack
Gluttony - always gambles ludicrous amounts of money on horse racing (just his beloved Richard) even if said money is Alice's savings
Sloth - often a lazy bum who wants nothing to do with others even in their times of need
Wrath - touch his wife financial partner or daughter and see what happens...
Envy - recently demonstrated with how calmly he reacted to discovering the existence of an Alice fanclub
Greed - 💰💰💰🪙🪙🪙

Last-but-of-course-not-least Pride.. with how he's obviously disrespectfully always calling everyone weak.

Though at the same time he's extremely humble too when he meets those that earn respect from him despite their capabilities.. showing respect for people like that 102-year old Silver-ranked adventurer and the kid of the bar owner he worked at in the early chapters.
