So this 'majok' is the KR equivalent to 魔族 (mazoku) in JP that often get translated as demons?
(it gets weird when some TL translate that as demons then actual demons/devils get thrown into the series...)
@ojoudere : I'm talking about 'majok' race when she is introduced.
"The strongest majok, the demon lord
(TL note: Majok is a race born with special power, not really demons/devils)"
Besides there's also some puns with 'maou' title as well so the same issue can still apply.
the sage's grandson where the 'maou' the people use to call him use the ma in reference to magic (mahou) i.e. 'magic king/lord' for his OP magic, but him being a reincarnated person clearly imagine the 'demon lord' meaning and get the cringes when he get called that...
a different series give furigana for maou as "Evil Lord", another possible translation of the ma in that one (in that one actual demons exist and they use 'akuma'...with a 'devil' being higher evolution among them...so yeah)
Heck, in some series 'mazoku' refers to any race with high magic power including elves.
