Yeah, as expected the Djinn was basically driven mad already and we have the most theatrical demise possible.

Between dying as something you hate (a human) or living an eternity of being exploited, I’m not even sure which would be preferable.

More likely her mother was something besides a djinn since Azur revealed in her thoughts that Djinn can't create new beings from scratch

Which means the angry goddess was Artemis and the poor girl Azur befriended was Iphigenia, daughter of Queen Clytemnestra. Damn, speak of a greek tragedy!

i dont wanna go throwing mythological names wily nilly, since i dont have much know how on that, but considering the age, i think azur mama is either tiamat or abzu (my money on tiamat)
