Some Do's and Don'ts of reading any type of book on-line, from Novels, to manga make sure you follow this and you'll have a great time reading
Stuff that has a STRIKE-THROUGH is an example of what NOT to do
Stuff that is UNDERLINED is an example for informative purposes
Stuff that is BOLDED is something that is important to remember
Stuff that is in ITALICS is an example of what everyone SHOULD try to do

1.DON'T read a Book that has a tag that you don't like
2.DO remember that MangaDex has tag definitions by clicking on the tags before you read.
3.DON'T be surprised that people on the cover of a novel/manga/comic book are usually recurring characters.
4.DO try to rationalize reasons why something in a book is happening
5.DON'T excuse bad or lazy writing because of it
6.DO remember that translators/scanlators/authors do NOT have to give more chapters then what are already released and can stop at any time.
EX 6: You guys take too long hurry up
7.DON'T let them use this excuse to give more power over a reader
EX 7: You should be grateful that we're translating/scanning/writing this at all.
8.DO try to support an author by buying the official release in either the original language or the translated one.
9.DON'T spend money buying these books if you don't have the economic stability to do so.
10. DO be positive when commenting in a section ESPECIALLY if you are attempting to do so comedically
EX: HuRrY uP I wAnt tHe neXt chAptEr!11!!1!! Joking, take as long as you guys need for this thanks for doing all the work of translating/scanning/writing these books.

These are the ones I could come up on the fly, if anyone has any suggestions make sure to tell me em.

11. DO remember to be a productive member of society. Capitalism experiences growth, when people work. As Entertainment is a tertiary industry (or quad according to some) it relies on the other industries to thrive. Especially when one purchases their services.
12. DO remember manga are fictional pieces or work. No your waifu will not fall out of the sky even if you are a typical (not a winner) that 'self-insert manga' targets. Work hard and improve yourself to gain the power to create your own utopia.
13. DO be morally conscious. Just because it happens in a manga doesn't mean its legal irl. Working hard doesn't mean being a stalker or a molester on trains and etc to create your utopia.
14. DON'T use manga as your primary source of treatment against depression or relief for other ailments; always see a doctor first. If you live in country without adequate healthcare *cough* *cough*. Consider voting well or moving to one that does.
15. DO take care when bingeing. Everything in moderation.

Don't let the moral compass of fiction characters guide your own conscience

Do find the makeup/hairstyle/fashion styles of fictional characters to become ikemen/bishoujo/Godzilla.

Given the sheer amount of people who complain in the comments sections of isekai/harems that, surprise surprise, by and large follow isekai/harem conventions, I don't know if these people are even literate.

Someone casted raise dead post on this one! Well there's a Do that can summarise it all which is "Do empathise with both characters and people bringing a work to light". If people did, there wouldn't be discussing of "shoulds and shouldn'ts" regarding characters and story nor harassing towards creators and scanlators. A tall demand of course, specially in an extemely individualised society.
