He is the Duke of a very important position in the existence of the nation. Why doesn't he have the authority to yeet this woman without dragging his actual love interest into some nasty fight.
MC is losing confidence over such a woman meanwhile I'm here who upon seeing her for the first few seconds, my first thoughts being: she looks SO OLD (I apologize to anyone I might offend)
@icarushector in chapter 3, ML did mentioned he directly reject the woman and gave reason because White hates her but she won't listen and gave excuses like 'if the brother's dragon can accept her so White will accept her sooner as well'.
If I'm not mistaken..can't remember the detail well
I might be wrong but I think that the fiancee of the older brother was the one who killed the older brother so that she could get engaged to the ML. Because to the ML it was said that his older brother was slightly ill and then the older brother suddenly died from the illness and the now ex fiancee wants to be with the ML so I think that she poisoned the older brother to get rid of him and be together with the ML.
It's kinda gross how she's just supposed to marry the next brother like, did she not care about her dead fiance and even if it is just political marriage she was promised the oldest, he's dead agreement cancelled go home lady
@Rasetsu my bad, not Duke, an Earl, specifically of the Borderlands. That's not to say he's from podunk nowheresville. It's the Valley of the dragons, without which there would be no dragon knights who are the core of the nation's power relative to their neighbors. Nevermind the fact that as the Earl there he is responsible for making sure the borders are clear and safe from outside interference. His position is a major lynchpin of the national defense. I feel like it's not a position that should be easily strongarmed by some crazy lady with a weird manservant.
There's nothing i hate in a villainess more than her stubbornly thinking she's entitled to e v e r y t h i n g she wants. (It makes her downfall even sweeter though)
