what the this story doesnt even has a strong plot. i mean, she's smart now so can she just persuade or threatening her personal maids to confess to the duke about that head maid and get her fire ? and she dont even bother to persuade the duke to replace the maids when they are becoming close now. and how come just a mere maid worth as an opponent to a duchess. and the self proclaimed workaholic duke doesnt even care with what's going on his mansion so what he's been working on up to now ? not even a single care or gossip he heard or what?

i don't understand why she can't fire the head maid herself since there's just as much evidence that she's the instigator of the stuff that's happened recently (rather than it being due to those other maids) and especially since there's the long history of her being that way (not to mention she already fucking knows that she's the one behind everything at this point). i get that we need a villain of some sort, but this head maid is so.... i don't even know what to say, she's insane. surely introducing other sources of drama and conflict wouldn't be too difficult considering how weak a villain the current one is??? also i'm still pissed off that the time the lady in the kitchen got whipped because (old) chloe pushed the blame onto her hasn't been addressed at all, and even more so after she got fucking slapped by the crazy woman for defending the person they work for hooooooooooooly shit

Chloe's clap backs are so weak... but i guess if your villains are weak with such petty and stupid insults, the heroines are just as weak.

Come to think of it, while I totally appreciate her appreciation for women's independence and self-worth, she did basically just outright say her husband was less important than tea, which is pretty amazing. (Particularly for a shoujo manwha!)

I mean he was (at best) sort of barely-acceptable dregs as husbands go for the first half of his marriage, for all that he's getting better, and she practically worships tea, so it certainly seems 100% accurate to her experience, but just coming out and saying it is another matter XD

...okay, okay, I know that's not actually what she meant. I'm just having a little laugh at the Duke's expense.

It doesn't bother me exactly but I really can't tell what time period this is supposed to be. The Knights are medieval, the clothes are Victorian and the servants and society are Edwardian. It doesn't really matter that much, but it would help establish what level of technology to expect. Writer, just pick a century!

You wonder about the era but the ice cubes are modern. This manhua transcends time.

This is so poorly written but the art is good.
