Zain and Alice were top tier this chapter, but I think she definitely opened it for Walter.
I don't like where this is headed because if he thinks its her and not her sister and so calls off the hunt to try and reverse everything...Uh-oh...
On an unrelated note, I once was involved in a DnD campaign where one of the players was General Grievous-ing his Rapiers for the meme. It was hilarious
To be honest, I don't like the idea of undoing things in the past. Sure, that would make Zain mostly useless narratively, but I don't tend to like messing with time too much, especially since reversing the Duke's curse in that way would generally mean undoing ALL of his time spent with Alice in the last two years. If there's no reason for him to be exiled to the other estate, there would be no reason for Alice to be hired on as his personal maid and companion and all the hijinks that ensued.
Far too much good has happened because the curse has led him to this life separate from the main family, if you really think about it. As well, he likely would have been brought up
very differently if he spent all those years being raised as the heir instead of as just a kind boy with an unfortunate condition by Rob.
This sort of shit is why I dislike messing with time- the consequences are too great, if you actually spend the time to consider them. Not to mention, if you get rid of the reason why you went back in time in the first place, you run the risk of an eternal loop situation.
Based on the chapter count, I am assuming the trip back in time is only going to remedy some of the curses, if that, and still leaves the Duke's problem for later.
