My God the paneling on page 3 is just amazing.

Caph expressing how she doesn't want to be alone followed by a frame where she asks for reassurance while facing us as if we are Zain himself.

And then, rather than a direct answer, we get a close up of his eye, alluding his doubt. And ending the page with the chapter title "alone" telegraphing that's what the chapter or arc is going to explore.

@nutman451 No offense but thats not really deep. I mean the layout and art are nice as always, but the entire series is about dealing with feeling isolated and alone. When its the chapter title, its not subtext.

I guess they kinda have a way to end the manga pretty happily. Alice gets her mom back, Duke's mom gets her bff back, Duke and Alice could be made young to before the duke was cursed to remove his curse then they can have a fair relationship. It isn't like they are that old anyways. Duke's brother would get the house name like he always wanted too. Duke's parent's won't have shame to their house and the Duke being the youngest would be allowed to marry Alice 100%. I'm sure that Zain and Caph would receive protection from Daleth and the Duke's house since the Duke's mom seems to love Alice's mom such that she'd give all but her life to see her
