Tbh Duke isn’t even concerned about being head, although he would make a great one.

2 ways I see this might end:
1) Walter becomes the head and after the curse is broken, Duke just moves with Alice somewhere else
2) Duke becomes the head after the spell is broken, marrying Alice and she’s no longer a maid. Meanwhile the mum doesn’t have much issues because Sharon too awakens

Walter/Daleth feels super rushed and awkward. The writing isn't exactly stellar in this, but this has definitely felt like a low point in terms of quality.

... They really didn't learn anything new and more... I mean, yeah they saw how the culprit-witch looked like; but (I'm pretty sure) Daleth mentioned she was a twin so all you have to do is imagine her without the scars and you get Sade... All they saw was Sade, with Daleth, sneakingly glaring at Sharon and that's it... They weren't really shown the needed events of that day nor anything seriously useful... Gotta agree with @mungobungo, the quality of writing has sorta gone down and this moment was unnecessary: this scene simply happen to drag out the drama meaninglessly.

In what world does a mangaka think that this is kind of chapter is Ok to be published. It's so useless and so blatantely stalling the story, it's so damn frustrating. Don't expect any new developpement before 10 chapters of fan service with the maid teasing the duke...
It gives me want to drop it althogether...
