I won't take credit for this comment, but someone said that one of the reasons this MC is so amazing to read, is because the author doesn't fear showing him in a genuine way, he isn't some incredible, perfect and emotionless killer, he can make mistakes, he can show innocence, he is actually pretty clueless towards most things in life, but finds pleasure in small things; and it's not just him, every character is interesting and it's such a pleasure reading every piece of dialogue.
Amazing story so far.
