Here's to hoping Sylvia got out alive from that fight. And yeah, villains plans are weird to say the least. It could be that Dahlia is also a spy and they REALLY want to figure our the second ability before they make their final move.
And yeah, they've likely killed all the remaining girls for this plot. Don't see why they would be chilling on the wall otherwise.

considering we see no one else after the fact and Goldi was the last one in the top floor, pretty likely theyre all dead. Unless they just got moved around off screen.

I don't get their plan. If they wanted his abilities, why all this deception. You two clearly could've taken him captive and tortured the information out of him.
This makes very little sense and is essentially a Goldberg machine in the form of a plan.
By my best guess it wouldn't work since they needed to know what that second ability because for all they know they would likely die considering how dangerous shit can get in that world in general.

Thanks for all the kind words everyone, I'm glad you enjoyed it. Unfortunately the quality of this chapter reduces significantly compared to the previous chapters. This is because I get the raws from mangagun thanks to some of you for letting me know, but I can't seem to save the pages so instead, I screenshot every page one by one hence the downgrade in resolution. I wonder if anyone knows a way to save the raw there so I can maintain its qualities. Thank you again everyone!

In good faith, I will assume that the evil conspirators are also having adversarial relationship among themselves (they want to take MC's powers but fear getting back-stabbed at the last moment) and therefore can't plan freely resulting in this Goldberg Machine of a plot.

I’m interested. What’s her end game though?
Everything in this series is pointlessly convoluted and the pacing gives us no time to make sense of it. Either a lot of the explanations are missing, or a lot of nuance is being left out of the translations. After the detailed explanations of guilds and cheat skills, it is suspicious that a self-taught hedge mage would be so talented, but it was passed over so quickly you would just assume that's not really unusual in this world. We already encountered several native alchemists/mages more dangerous than otherworlders as well. Also it seems like an unspoken rule cheat skills are tied to a physical object and they can even be sentient? That wasn't inuitive at all.

Honestly it gets worse because that's the style of the narrative. Since this seems more like the author didn't spend much time in changing the story any from it's previous iteration. Art is a lot more amatuerish in the previous one and the ending is pretty open ended, almost as if the author didn't intend to end it.

The author is one of those who believe the audience shouldn't learn what is common sense or common knowledge about the world via explaination from the characters as that's not very realistic. You don't stop brushing your teeth, look at imaginary fourth wall and explain why you are brushing your teeth after all.

A good version of this style can be found in the story "Shadown Slave." But even in that one, it can be frustrating in the beginning as so much is left unsaid.
