its a more nuanced take dark fantasy in an isekai setting. hardly you see this type, without the reincarnation powers becoming too OP without consequences. reminds me heavily of LornaRPG and Black Souls to some extent.

...Just how in the nine hells is this a "cheat" ability... Any ability you can just "brick" into uselessness is inherently mediocre at best.
So, the MC not only got a completely useless ability like the save crystal that makes him forget any events he wanted to avoid, more or less guaranteeing that they will happen again(assuming the translators didn't mess up the translation), but also one that he can ruin his one useful skill by trying to make something that is beyond his knowledge and means to make....
