I find it bullshit. What are the odds no one between all those soldiers has awakened?
And the best they have to fight monsters are... rifles and hand grenades? Really? No heavy machine guns, RPGs, armored vehicles, artillery... Lets not talk about helicopters or jets.

There are other series were there exist the setting "modern weaponry doesnt hurt monsters", but in this series we have seen it does and yeah, there might be giant dragons out there, but trying to tell us that those shitty goblin-like monsters with kitchen knives and cubs can fight against the military is...
